I'm proud to be the only candidate in this race to have attended and graduated from St. Mary's County Public Schools. I went to Mechanicsville Elementary, Margaret Brent Middle, and graduated from Chopticon High School. While I was at Chopticon, I was appointed to the Youth Advisory Commission for St. Mary's County representing the northern end of the county (Mechanicsville, Golden Beach, and 7th District). While serving on the board, I was chair of the education subcommittee. As chairperson, I worked to provide students with information regarding Advanced Placement Testing costs, options for the STEM program, and SMCPS news. After high school, I went to CSM. While attending college, I was hired as a substitute teacher for St. Mary's County Public Schools. I subbed in many of our schools, including White Marsh Elementary, Carver Elementary, and Chopticon High. After college, I was hired as a Family Law Administrative Specialist for the Maryland Judiciary.
I'm proud to be a member of the following organizations here in St. Mary's County:
